Tyrik Smalls


Editor’s note: According to information provided Wednesday by the Summerville Police Department, the following suspects were still at large. All photos provided by reporting agency.

Name: Tyrik Jermaine Smalls

Age: 17

Description: Black male, 5’ 6”, 150 pounds

Last known address: 814 W. 2nd North St., Summerville

Wanted for: Possession Stolen Firearm

Wanted by: Summerville Police

Wanted since: January 2014

Investigators allege: Smalls had in his possession and a black and brown Smith and Wesson 44 Magnum revolver. While walking on the wrong side of the road with two others, an officer smelled fresh marijuana. While arresting the subject with the marijuana, Smalls took off running down the road. He was apprehended and a pursuant search of his person located the weapon in his waistband.

Smalls told police the gun belonged to him but a trace on the firearm revealed the owner to be someone else. The true owner told police the gun had ben stolen from his residence in Berkeley County.

Name: Carlo Howard Rattley, Jr.

Age: 21

Description: Black male, 5’6”, 135 pounds.

Last known address: 1310 Boone Hill Road, Summerville

Wanted for: Attempted Murder

Wanted by: Summerville Police

Wanted since: January 2014

Investigators allege: Rattley fired a chrome revolver four times at the victim as she ran away because she got angry at him because she thought he was having an affair with her girlfriend. The victim was running with laundry in her arms. The victim said a co-defendant was standing next to Rattley with a long gun. She said she heard several shots fly by her head and saw some hit a brick building nearby. The co-defendant told police that Rattley had fired the shots.
