Save the trees

  • Friday, February 14, 2014

To the Editor:

I would like to weigh in as in favor of saving the I- 26 trees and the $5 million dollars spent in the removal of them. Itís a win - win all the way around!

I have let Gov. Haley know my position on this as well.

I do not understand those that can not see this, as it is the law. If you have ever been denied a permit to cut an ordinary ugly sap-like tree down, then you understand my position. This ugly huge tree was not only an eye sore but hanging over my roof doing damages as well. Not even to mention it was on two property lines. The neighbor/owner agreed with me to cut it down, so we went to get the permit to abide by the law and would you believe the TREE COMMITTEE said NO?

It appears the law does not apply to everybody, just those with a political agenda.
