Bruce Alvin Bell
Bruce Alvin Bell, 64, of Norfolk, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia with his family at his side.
Mr. Bell was born July 30, 1949 in Charleston. He was the son of the late Herbert G. Bell and the late Eleanor Voncile Yarborough Bell of Summerville. He was a 1968 graduate of Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner.
He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Goose Creek, and joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduating from high school.
A Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Bell retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Glenn Bell of Clover, SC. He is survived by his wife, Ann T. Bell of Norfolk, VA; one daughter, Stephanie Bell Moreland and one son, Terry Bell both of Goose Creek; four grandchildren, Cody Bell, Allison Bell, and Staci Hall, all of Goose Creek, and Sierra Wilde of Utah; his former wife Dianne Taylor Bell of Goose Creek; a sister, Renee Bell Gallien (Tim) of Clover, SC; two brothers, Eric Bell (Joyce) and Donald Bell (Pat) of Summerville; nieces and nephews, MacKenzie Gallien of Clemson, Billy Gallien and Steve Bell (Brandy) of Clover, SC, Tracy Stiff (John) of Lake Wylie, SC, Jason Bell of Florida, and Doug Bell (Maegan) and Ricky Bell (Jennifer) of Summerville; and many great nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends was held in Chesapeake, VA to celebrate his life. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
