The George H. Seago Jr. Library Branch of Dorchester County Library is pleased to welcome Our Lady of Mercy’s Catnip Cottage, which will present a program on therapy animals.

Our Lady of Mercy’s Catnip Cottage is a non-profit organization providing sanctuary for cats through foster homes. It also has sanctuary cat teams that provide purr therapy at area health and nursing care facilities.

For anyone wanting to learn more about therapy animals and animal rescue, this is the chance to meet select members of the purr therapy team.

The program is open to the entire family and will take place on Wed., March 5 at 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the library.

Come by the library or check its website to get a sneak peak at some of the animals expected and a wish list of items Our Lady of Mercy’s Catnip Cottage needs to continue its good work.
