Marion Bradley Tumbleston

Marion Bradley Tumbleston, Jr., 72, of Ridgeville, SC, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services were Monday afternoon, February 24, 2014 in Parks Funeral Home chapel 4 o’clock. Burial followed in Summerville Cemetery. Visitation was at Parks Funeral Home Sunday evening from 6 – 8 o’clock. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Charleston, 29403.

Mr. Tumbleston was born June 20, 1941 in Summerville, SC, a son of Marion B. Tumbleston, Sr. and Beulah Clark Tumbleston. He was an owner-operator of M.B. Tumbleston Construction Co. His hobbies included woodworking, deer hunting and fishing. He was also a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church #2.

Mr. Tumbleston is survived by five daughters, Lisa Davis (Brad) and Pam Mazell, both of Summerville, Paula Baker (Josh) of N. Charleston, Cathy May and Kelly Gunnin (Clint), also of Summerville; two sisters, Gloria Sweat (George) and Theresa Mazell (Allen) of Summerville; eight grandchildren, Alexis Kingry, Tyler Davis, Jared Mazell, Jessica Mazell, Lindsey Baker, Jackson Tumbleston, Carson Gunnin and Addison Gunnin; one great grandchild, Hunter Mazell; longtime friend, Jo Ann Hadwin of Summerville; former spouse and mother of his children, Grace Cote of Summerville.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Haley Baker and a son-in-law, Scott May.
