The following incidents were obtained from Goose Creek Police Department reports:
• A 14-year-old male owned up to shooting a BB gun that broke a neighbor’s window on Feb. 14. The complainant said she was sitting on her couch when she heard glass shattering. She noticed one of the panes to the front door was shattered with what appeared to be a bullet hold in the middle of the pane. The glass was safety glass so it did not break out. The victim stepped outside and saw a white male and two other juveniles. She talked to the juvenile she recognized, who denied knowing anything about a broken window. The juvenile took off down the street. The complainant did not wish to press charges but said she and the boy’s mother would work out an agreement to fix the damage on their own.
• A St. James Avenue woman was charged with lack of restraint, a charge that carries more than a $1,000 fine, when her pit bull attacked a man walking his German shepherd. The woman opened her apartment door and the pit bull darted out. The man tried to separate the dogs but was bit on his left middle finger by the pit bull. The man’s skin was punctured and bleeding near the fingernail. The woman confirmed her dog rushed out of her door and smelled the German shepherd. When it growled, the pit bull attacked she said. Both dogs appeared uninjured.
The officer informed the woman she is still required to keep her dog leashed and under control while outside of her residence. The man said he wished to pursue charges for lack of restraint.
