Mon., March 3, 9:15 a.m. – Beginning Spanish. Member Marcos Villacreses teaches beginner conversational Spanish. Marcos is from Ecuador.
Tues., March 4, 10 a.m. – Speaker. Neuropathy, Dr. Jim Erickson, D.C. from Atlantic Coast Physical Medicine will provide an informational lecture on symptoms and treatments for Neuropathy. Neuropathy is a result of nerve damage that often causes weakness, numbness, and pain usually in hands and feet.
Wed., March 5, 1:30 p.m. – Volunteer Orientation: Ever considered volunteering at Dorchester Seniors? Would you like to deliver meals, work in the gift shop or help with activities?
Then come to the orientation to learn more about the volunteer opportunities offered by DSI. Please see Susan, volunteer coordinator for more information.
Thurs., March 6, 1 p.m. – Woodcarving: This group meets on Thursdays 1 to 3 p.m. New Members welcome. For more information, call Barbara at 843-871-7469.
Fri., March 7, 8:45 a.m. – Zumba Gold: Zumba® Gold Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings with certified instructor Lilibeth Barker. Zumba® Gold is based on the same dance moves used in the original Zumba class.
The Gold class is less intense, with dance routines designed for beginners and older adults using modified movements. Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and Fridays at 8:45 a.m., $5 per class.
Must be a member of the center and have a note from physician clearing for participate in Zumba Gold, or sign a waiver provided by instructor.
You do not need to be a member of H2U to participate in Zumba Gold.
