Wine strolls begin at Middleton

  • Wednesday, March 5, 2014

The Middleton Place Restaurant will begin the spring season of Wine Strolls on March 12 and continue every Wednesday through June 25.

Regular Wine Strolls will be held each Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. through June 18. Closing out the Stroll season on June 25, the Middleton Place Restaurant will present the Rum Stroll. Similar to the Wine Stroll, the Rum Stroll will introduce visitors to historic Charleston-Barbados connections, including a variety of select light, dark and spiced rums from the island nation, as well as historic-recipe rum punches and Barbados-inspired hors d’oeuvres.

The Strolls will take a break from the heat in July and August, as special dining events from the Middleton Place Restaurant are planned for those months.

Weekly Wine Strolls will resume on September 3, and several themed events are planned through the fall season, ending with the Masquerade Wine Stroll Finale on October 29.

Wine Strolls are $20 per person purchased in advance online and $25 per person at the gate.

The special Rum Stroll may be individually priced. Members of the Middleton Place Foundation receive $5 off.

Extend the experience with dinner at the Middleton Place Restaurant – serving classic Southern and Low Country cuisine with produce from its own organic farm.
