Pine Forest moves into Men’s Interclub lead

The host team was hot Feb. 3 as the Pine Forest team took top honors for the third match of the Charleston Area Menís Interclub Golf Association season.

Pine Forest carded a plus 9 score to place first at The Club. The Charleston National team broke even to claim runner-up honors. Trailing were Berkeley (-3), Coosaw Creek (-8), Stono Ferry (-8), Charleston Municipal (-10), Wescott Plantation (-10), Shadowmoss (-15), Dunes West (-16), Legend Oaks (-17), Summerville (-18), Rivertowne (-20) and Crowfield (-26).

Chris Clayton of Summerville and Mike Phillips of Legend Oaks both carded a match-best plus 10 to lead the individual honors. Full results can be found at http://chsinterclub.org.

Pine Forest moves into the lead for the 2014 points standings with 35 points.

Charleston National is just behind with 30 points and Charleston Municipal has 29.5 points.

Trailing in the standings are Stono Ferry (26.5), Dunes West (25), Berkeley (25), Wescott (21), Shadowmoss (20), Coosaw (17.5) Legend Oaks (17), Rivertowne (14.5), Summerville (11) and Crowfield (7).
