Thomas Michael Butler

Thomas Michael Butler, 37, of Tabor City, NC, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Port Jefferson, NY, on December 11, 1976, he was a son of Robert and Eleanor F. Butler of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. He was owner and operator of Smoke Signals until his failing health forced his retirement. He loved feeding people, the enjoyment it brought to him was priceless. After Smoke Signals, he moved his family to Tabor City and fell in love with farming. He loved to work the land.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his loving wife, Jennifer Ann Bowen Butler; a daughter, Eleanor “Elle” Butler of Tabor City; a brother, Robert “Robbie” Butler and wife Joanna of Monroe Township, NJ; nieces, Stephanie and Sarah Butler and Laura Byrne as well as many beloved family members and friends.

A mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the St. Brendan Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC.
