The Society of American Military Engineers Charleston Post is seeking campers and mentors for engineering and construction camps to be held this summer. The dates and location for these camps are:

• United States Army – Vicksburg, MS – June 22 – 28

• United States Marine Corps – Location TBD – June 22 – 28 (subject to final approval by government officials)

• United States Air Force Academy – Colorado Springs, CO – June 26 – July 2

The Society of American Military Engineers offers a unique series of engineering camps designed for high school students who excel in math, science and technical courses and are interested in pursuing engineering in college. These one–week camps are high energy, hands–on events for students from across the country and around the world.

The camps are led by a professional staff of engineers from both private industry and the military services.

Camp tuition is $580 and prospective campers are expected to pay half of that cost ($290). The Charleston Post will pay the other half of the tuition, as well as travel expenses.

Interested candidates should go to samecamps.org to determine if they are eligible and then go through the application process for the camp selected.
