The annual Dancing with The ARK’s Stars has raised $70,000 for Alzheimer’s according to Cheryl Moniz, The ARK’s development director.

Winners are as follows:

2014 People’s Choice - Tauna Longest and John Michael Tabakian.

2014 Judges’ Choice - Sean Harrington and Lorna Parkinson.

Other couples were Sean Alford and Shawn Oberrath, Sean Bennett and Teresa Rogers, Al Bradham and Monica Emerine, Pennie Folden and Josh Ortiz and Virginia Pennington and Jaime Emerine.

All professionals are part of Carolina Dancesport.

“By our best count,’ said Moriz, “we had about 500 guests attend the event at Pinewood Prep. “

Dorchester County Probate Judge Mary Blunt was the Mirror Ball (title) sponsor for third year.

“I can say that the fundraising exceeded everyone’s expectations,” exclaimed Moriz. “This group of seven ‘local celebrities’ put their heart and soul into making this event spectacular in every way.”
