  • Friday, March 14, 2014

The sixth annual Chase After a Cure Golden Gala raised $143,000 to help fund childhood cancer research at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital. More than $30,000 was raised during the “Fund the Need” portion of the evening; that money will be used to purchase a new piece of equipment for the hospital, called a Bio-Rad ChemiDoc Imaging System.

More than 450 people attended the gala, presented by Cornerstone Wealth and Tax Advisory Group, Event Dining Rental Solutions, Walmart and AV Connections. American Idol finalist Elise Testone provided entertainment for the evening.
