Summerville teams picked up wins on the diamond, the pitch and the golf course over the past week.
The Summerville softball team followed a 15-4 win over West Ashley Monday with a 5-3 win over Stratford Tuesday to improve to 7-0 on the season. Taylor Wuerfel (4-0) had the pitching win against West Ashley and Summer Jenkins (3-0) had the win at Stratford.
Summerville hosts Hanahan Friday.
The Summerville girls’ soccer team earned an 11-0 victory over Cane Bay Tuesday in the regular-season opener for both teams.
Emma Leftwich led the Lady Green Wave attack, scoring three goals. Morgan Vega, Ellie Mayeux and Meredith Harley all scored two goals. Also finding the net for Summerville were Cyarah Wilson and Danielle Lodge.
Amber Howell had the shutout in goal.
Summerville travels to West Ashley March 18 and Stratford March 21 before opening region play at Colleton County March 25. The Lady Green Wave returns home to host Beaufort April 1.
The Summerville boys’ golf team defeated Berkeley 171-196 Tuesday at Summerville Country Club. Christian Woods came in with a score of 38 to earn Low Medalist honors.
The Ashley Ridge boys’ golf team defeated Stratford 162-188 Tuesday. Austin Zoller came in at 34 to claim Low Medalist honors.
