Sandy Schopfer/Journal Scene Rollings Middle School of the Arts eighth-graders Hayley Schopfer, clarinet, and Jacob Hines, string bass, recently were named to the 2014 Junior All-State Band. As part of the honor, the students attended a weekend of rehearsals at Furman University, culminating with a concert March 16 in McAlister Auditorium on the Furman campus. Each year, the S.C. Band Directors Association sponsors Junior, Clinic and Senior bands for the All-State event at Furman.
