Pancake fundraiser

The Dorchester Dragons swimming and basketball teams with Special Olympics are hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 8-10 a.m. April 5 at the Applebees located at 88 Old Trolley Road. Tickets will be $7 at the door and will be used to help the basketball team compete at National Special Olympics Games in June and the swim team to compete at Fort Jackson in May. AR TechFall registration

The Ashley Ridge TechFall Club (Freestyle/Greco) will have registration from 6-8 p.m. March 31 in the Ashley Ridge High School mini-gym. The program, for wrestlers in grades sixth through 12, will have practice every Tuesday and Thursday from April 1 until July 31. Registration cost is $90 per wrestler with a discount available for siblings and includes instruction, AR TechFall T-Shirt and a USA Wrestling card. Wave Freestyle wrestling

The Summerville Wrestling Team will start its Freestyle Season in April. Registration will be April 1-3 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Summerville High School outside the mini gym. Ages range from 5 to high school juniors. Cost for registering is $75. If there is a second child in the family, the cost for the second child will be $50. TakeDown Domination

Registration is open for the TakeDown Domination Camp to be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. May 17-18. Sponsored by the Ashley Ridge TechFall Club, this camp is open to middle school and high school wrestlers living within the Ashley Ridge High School attendance zone. The camp will feature Jeff Ragan, Assist Head Coach at The Citadel, and various guest clinicians. Emphasis will be placed on confidence building and footwork. Registration is $95 per wrestler and includes a T-shirt and lunch. Checks made payable to Ashley Ridge TechFall Club or ARTFC can be mailed to: Ashley Ridge High School, attention Jamie Clark. Senior softball

The Menís Senior Softball League for players age 49 and up is having registration and try outs. Spring season begins April 14. Games are played Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights at Kapstone/Meade/Westvaco Park (Cook Field) in North Charleston. Game times are 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tryouts are every Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at ParkShore Park (West Ashley). For additional information contact Richard at 312-4222 or 1994johnson@homesc.com.

Anglers club

The Summerville Saltwater Anglers fishing club meets every second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Summerville Country Club. We are the only family-focused fishing club in the Charleston area. The club was founded by Ralph Phillips in 2011. New members are welcome. More information on the family-oriented club visit can be found at www.summervillesaltwateranglers.com.

Summer tennis camps

The Town of Summerville Tennis Program has scheduled Summer Camps for those age 6 and up from 8-11:30 a.m. June 16-19, June 23-26, July 7-10, July 14-17, July 21-24 and Aug. 4-7. The fee for each session is $110 and includes snacks and a Thursday Pizza Party. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration.
