South Carolina currently ranks number-one in the nation for number of women murdered by men – more than double the national average.
To help put an end to domestic violence the public is asked to support the efforts of My Sister’s House.
Eighty-four cents of every dollar donated go directly to the programs and services offered by My Sister’s House, the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.
The money raised will continue to help women and children live violence-free by providing victims of domestic violence with shelter, a 24-hour crisis line, employment opportunities, deposits on new apartments, children’s programs, legal help, individual and group counseling and a brand new start.
For sponsorship opportunities and auction item donations contact Mackie Moore, director of development, at (843) 747-4069 or e-mail her at Mackie@mysistershouse.com.
