Charleston area residents will have the chance to audition for two reality TV shows this month.
NBC's “The Biggest Loser” and CBS's “Big Brother” are searching for contestants for each show's upcoming season.
“The Biggest Loser” auditions will be taking place on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C.
According to a press release from NBC, casting producers are looking for families of four or more, in addition to individuals and former athletes. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, a legal resident of the United States and have at least 100 pounds to lose. Candidates are instructed to bring a non-returnable photo of themselves to the auditions.
Auditions will be held at the WCNC-TV station, 1001 Wood Ridge Center Drive, Charlotte, N.C. Charlotte is one of seven cities nationwide where the show is performing casting calls.
Show contestants will have an opportunity to lose weight and compete for a prize of $250,000.
“Big Brother” auditions will be taking place on Friday, April 18, from 5 – 8 p.m. in Folly Beach.
Casting producers are looking for outgoing, competitive people to be houseguests on the show, according to a CBS press release. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
Auditions will be held at Loggerhead's Beach Grill, 123 Ashley Avenue, Folly Beach, S.C.
Show contestants, or “houseguests,” will live in a house with other contestants and be video recorded at all times. Each week houseguests will vote another contestant out of the house for a chance to win $500,000.
