The Eagle Nest Elementary School’s (EES) Spring Reading Prize Patrol was held on March 25.
This year the school had 75 students turn in registration forms agreeing to be reading between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Eleven third through fifth grade students were selected and, with siblings included, a total of 18 children received bags containing 20 books.
The following students were selected: third graders Jordyn Jones, Brandon Colquhoun and Rudro Podder; fourth graders Elsden Camposeco, Donovan Kidder, Amy Banegas and Hannah Quick-McBride; andfifth graders Katie Whitlock, Jenifer Martinez Felix, Zorie Grant and Camren Khoury.
Every student who registered for the event will receive a book.
At each home, EES faculty and staff crowd around the door to deliver books. When the doors open, they yell, “Congratulations.”
The school will conduct a Math Prize Patrol in April.
