Sandlappers fall short against Tropical

The Summerville Sandlappers cricket team hosted an established cricket club from Atlanta Sunday.

Tropical Sports Club came to Summerville and played the Sandlappers at Gahagan Park. Tropical batted first and scored a massive total score of 242 runs with Summerville taking six wickets.

Summerville made a gallant effort but came up short making 226 runs in reply. The day marks the first loss for the Summerville club.

The Sandlappers are now working on the details for games against the

Charlotte International Cricket Club, which is tentatively scheduled to come to town May 17.
