My Sister’s House fundraiser coming up

  • Friday, April 4, 2014

My Sisterís House is hosting its 5th Annual Bubbly and Brew fundraiser on April 10, from 7 - 11 p.m. at the Charles Towne Landing Founderís Hall

The event is sponsored by Lucey Mortgage Corporation and will feature music by Bonnie Bishop.

Guests will dine on fabulous food and sip on champagne, wine, beer from local brewers, and of course, an MSH Signature Cocktail. Plus, amazing items to bid on at the silent and live auctions.

South Carolina currently ranks No. 1 in the nation for number of women murdered by men...more than double the national average.

Domestic violence is a silent epidemic, but itís real... help put an end to domestic violence by supporting the efforts of My Sisterís House. For every dollar spent, 84 cents will go directly to programs and services offered by My Sisterís House, the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.

The money raised will continue to help women and children live violence-free, by providing victims of domestic violence with shelter, a 24-hour crisis line, employment opportunities, deposits on new, safe apartments, childrenís programs, legal help, individual and group counseling and a brand new start.

Tickets are $60 per person if purchased by April 8; a limited number will be available at the door for $75 per person.
