The Summerville Journal Scene and Katelyn Aldridge, State Farm Insurance, will premier a new event, “Bunny Brunch,” this weekend. Modeled after the popular Breakfast with Santa event, this free event will be held this Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Azalea Park.
Parents, bring your cameras to take photos of your loved one while they meet the Easter Bunny. Then get ready to participate in The Big Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by MUSC’s Children’s After Hour Care, featuring 5,000 toy-filled eggs hidden in Azalea Park. The hunt begins around 9:30 a.m.
Participating kids can enjoy a free picnic brunch in the park provided by Alex’s Restaurants. During the event, kids can also enjoy other activities from Summerville Pediatric Dentistry and Bottles N’ Brushes.
“After the success of our Breakfast with Santa event, we wanted to continue providing another fun event for Summerville families. We are thrilled to host the inaugural Bunny Brunch in the beautiful backdrop of Azalea Park,” Summerville Communications Regional Advertising and Marketing Director Chris Zoeller said.
Families who bring a canned good donation will be entered to win a special Easter Basket filled with goodies including a family pass to the South Carolina Aquarium.
This event is free and open to the public. All activities will take place in the park near the Cuthbert Center and tennis courts.
