Choice Gymnastics advances athletes to Regionals

Choice Gymnastics has qualified two gymnasts for the Silver Xcel Regional Team.

Sara Trotter and Ashlynn Sullivan placed third and sixth respectively out of 304 gymnasts that competed at the South Carolina meet held March 28-30. The top six gymnasts from state meets are chosen to represent their state at the Regional Meet in May.

Ashlynn took home first-place honors on all events and in the All-Around to secure her place. Sara placed first on Beam and All-Around, second on Vault and Bars and third on floor.

Both gymnast are coached by Jenn Santmyer.

The Choice Gymnastics Bronze Team, coached by Shannon Driggers, Jenn Santmyer and Deb Wilson, took home sixth place out of 31 teams. The Silver Team took home fourth out of 31 teams.

Ava Brinser: 1st on Beam

Madison Caples: 1st on Beam and AA

Lily Creed: 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Vault, Bars and AA

Carlie Fox: 2nd on Bars and 3rd in AA

Kathleyn Kampwerth: 3rd on Bars

Brooklyn Lameo: 2nd on Bars and 3rd on Vault and AA

Hayleigh Lane: 2nd on Vault, Bars and AA and 3rd on Beam and Floor

Kira Martin: 2nd on Floor and AA and 3rd on Vault and Beam

Maile Merklein: 2nd on Bars and Beam (tie)

Caroline Pierce: 1st on beam and AA and 2nd on Bars and Floor (tie)

Savannah Pierce: 3rd on Beam

Emily Prince: 2nd (tie) on Vault and 3rd on Bars

Audrey Sample: 1st on Vault and Beam and 3rd in AA

Carolina Smith: 1st on Bars and 3rd in AA

Breanna Sweatman: 1st on Bars and AA and 2nd on Beam

Kylie Williams: 2nd on Bars and 3rd on Floor and AA

Raegan Yost: 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Bars

Silver Level:

Katie Heimerdinger: 2nd on Bars

Caroline Moore: 1st on Floor
