Name: Amanda Marie Smith

Age: 26

Last known address: 106 Louise St., Summerville

Wanted for: Petit larceny

Wanted by: Summerville Police Department

Wanted since: Aug. 20, 2013

Investigators allege: While shopping at Bi Lo on Bacons Bridge Road, Amanda Smith stole a blue Samsung laptop in a brown leather case from the victim, a shopper in the store. The item was valued at $555. According to the victim’s statement, the victim had left the laptop in the shopping cart and when the victim returned to retrieve the item it was missing. Police observed a recording of the theft on store security videos, where they identified a white female. Shortly after, Smith made a purchase using her Bi Lo Bonus Card, which alerted police to her identity. After comparing her SCDOT identification photo with the security tape, SPD identified her as the white female who stole the item.
