Boone Hill United Methodist Church announces the following opportunities for worship during Holy Week and Easter, April 14-20. All services will be held at Boone Hill United Methodist Church, 801 Boone Hill Road, Summerville. The public is invited.
Monday, April 14, 7 p.m.
The Anointing of Jesus: A Taize Worship Service of Scripture, Prayer and Anointing
Taizé is a meditative prayer service that incorporates simple, repetitive songs and words, scripture readings, and periods of silence in a setting of peace and soft light that fosters communion with God. Through Taizé, participants can worship in a community setting, yet remain open to the voice of God and discover the prayer within themselves.

Lee Domann presents: “The Hands of Holy Week” Concert
The night’s award-winning sonwriter/singer Lee Domann will lead the church to see some specific examples of what scripture/tradition tell us happened during Holy Week long ago. A love offering will be taken.

Service of Foot Washing
The service of foot washing is a powerful and symbolic response to the Word of God as revealed in Jesus Christ. It dramatizes the servant life of Jesus not only on the night before he was crucified, but also in his entire life and ministry and in his continuing presence in our midst.
Thursday, April 17, 7 p.m.
Maundy Thursday, Holy Communion and the Stripping of the Church for Good Friday
In this service of Holy Communion we recall Jesus’ act of sharing a meal with his disciples on the night before he was to be crucified. In the act of the stripping of the Church, we recall those who fled and deserted Jesus as we recall the crucifixion of the Lord.

The Stations of the Cross: A walk-through devotional journey recounting the steps of Jesus to the Cross
This self-guided walk will be available in the Gym at Boone Hill UMC beginning at 7 AM on Friday until the 7 PM service. Come as you are, walk at your own pace, alone or with others.

Prayer vigil at the Cross
Join us for this brief time of prayer at the Cross as we “wait in darkness” anticipating the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Day.
Sunday, April 20, 7 a.m.
Sunrise Worship at Boone Hill UMC Cemetery
At 8 a.m. breakfast will be served at Boone Hill Church Gym. Easter Sunday Worship, “For Great is Your Reward in Heaven,” will be held at 10 a.m.
