Chamber to offer social media workshop

The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce will be offering a social media seminar on Tuesday, April 29 from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Katie DePoppe of Azalea Magazine and Ryan DePoppe of 3 Pulley Marketing will present the seminar.

The seminar will discuss the basics of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, how to set up accounts, social media etiquette, how to create content and why social media is important for businesses.

Tickets cost $15 for Chamber members and $25 for non members, and include lunch.

Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the seminar at noon.

Itís recommended those attending bring a laptop computer, tablet or smartphone to learn on.

The event will be held in the Chamber Boardroom, 402 N. Main Street.
