Dr. James Martin has 29 years of experience as an OB-GYN in North Charleston and over the past decade has helped advance minimally invasive surgical techniques for a full range of procedures from hysterectomy to bladder
surgery to treatment for endometriosis and removal of ovarian cysts. His work using the da Vinci surgical system through the South Carolina Institute for Robotic Surgery has been especially rewarding because of the benefits to patients. Yet Dr. Martin has not forgotten the old-fashioned art of listening to patients, encouraging them to ask questions and fully explaining his recommendations.
“Taking that extra time to talk really helps with patients’ overall well-being and healing because they know what to expect and the physician and the patient are on the same page.” - James Martin, MD
