Flowertown Players concludes its 2014 Children’s Theatre season with “Pippi Longstocking: the Musical,” with public performances May 3 and 4.
Based on the classic book by Astrid Lindgren, the world’s most beloved troublemaker has moved into Villa Villekulla with her pet monkey and horse while her father is pirating the South Seas.
Sparking everychild’s dream of strength and freedom, high-spirited Pippi joins her new neighbors, Tommy and Annika, in wild escapades to thwart burglars, win a match with the world’s strongest man, and master the “pluttifikation” tables.
This unique production features lively song and dance, playful fight choreography, bright set designs, and original puppetry.
The cast features Casey Dorman as Pippi, Sam Daniel as Tommy, and Anna Leigh Avant as Annika.
The creative team includes Jenny Aubrey (Director), Cathy Almquist (Musical), Daniel Lung (Choreography), Jason Olson (Scenic), Janet Peck (Lighting/Sound), and Kem Welch (Puppetry).
Pippi Longstocking is a musical adventure sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Performances are May 3 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and May 4 at 1 p.m.
