Paziks married 50 years

Harriet S. “Freddie” Pazik and Frank V. Pazik are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 25. The couple was married at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Reading, Pa., on April 25, 1964.

Mr. Pazik graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia. After college, he went through officer training school at Lackland Air Force Base in the U.S. Air Force. After being commissioned, he was assigned to Strategic Air Command as a security officer for the B47 Bomber Force at Forbes Air Fore Base in Topeka, Kansas. He was then assigned to security, law enforcement and corrections. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Pazik was transferred to McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. As a captain, he then served as a Titan II ICBM missile combat crew commander and instructor. After leaving the U.S. Air Force, he worked for 12 years in management with Sears Roebuck & Company in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He moved the family to South Carolina in 1980 and worked as an independent tool dealer with Snap-On Tools. Mr. Pazik retired in 2001.

Mrs. Pazik is the former Harriet S. Ustaszewski of Reading, Pa. She graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in Allentown, Pa. She worked as a hemodialysis RN, as a staff nurse and then facility director at RAI in Summerville. After nearly 30 years in the hemodialysis field, she retired from RAI in 2008.

The couple has three children and three grandchildren. Their three children and spouses are: Denise and Chris Partridge, Deborah and Billy Dorris, and Frank D. Pazik, all of Summerville.

Freddie and Frank also have three grandchildren: Brett Partridge, Cooper Dorris and Corbin Dorris.

After 34 years, the Paziks continue to reside in Summerville where they enjoy sailing, traveling, working out at the YMCA, reading, metal detecting and visiting and vacationing with family. They are members of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville.

The couple will celebrate their annivesary with family this summer.
