New metal manufacturing jobs are expected to come to a Summerville-based company after a recent purchase of assets.
Late last month Impulse Manufacturing announced it purchased Bellwright Industries, located at 10186 Bellwright Road in Summerville.
Impulse Manufacturing acquired Bellwright Industries’ assets, including equipment and operations, through a purchase of MSM Holding Company. Under new management, the plant’s name has been changed to Bellwright Manufacturing. It will continue to produce high-volume machined castings.
Impulse Manufacturing also acquired a North Carolina machined castings manufacturing plant in the purchase.
Officials from Impulse Manufacturing said they “expect significant growth over the next 12 – 24 months” due to the unique combination of the two plants with Impulse Manufacturing’s existing metal fabrication business.
The consolidation is expected to create more than 150 new jobs across all three plants, they said.
