The streets of Carnes Crossroads will take on a festive vibe on Sunday, May 18 when the community holds its second annual Street Party at the Village Green, featuring food, entertainment and activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
Hosted by Carnes Crossroads Real Estate, the event takes place from noon until 3 p.m. in the heart of the first neighborhood at Carnes Crossroads. Admission and parking are free.
As part of the Street Party festivities, a farmers’ market featuring fresh produce and handmade crafts from local vendors will take place in the recently restored Green Barn. There also will be a jump castle, giant slide and train rides for the kids, plus cornhole, bocce and other games for the entire family on the Village Green.
Ogferings from Daniel Island Grill and Holy Chow food trucks will be available for purchase, and radio personalities will be onsite providing music and entertainment.
The Street Party at Carnes Crossroads is also a fundraiser for Helping Hands of Goose Creek. Carnes Crossroads Real Estate is helping the local non-profit organization collect items for its food bank and is inviting visitors to bring donations of canned food and dry goods to the event. Those making donations to Helping Hands during the day will be entered to win a drawing for prizes from Carnes Crossroads Real Estate.
“Our Street Party is a great opportunity for folks to come to Carnes Crossroads and get a taste of the community that is developing here,” said Chuck Buck, Broker-in-charge at Carnes Crossroads Real Estate.
