SHS Baseball Camp

The Summerville High School Baseball program will host two Fundamentals and Fun Baseball Camps this summer for youth age 6-14. Banks Faulkner, the Summerville High staff, and Summerville players will serve as instructors for this first year camp. Sessions will be June 9-12 and June 16-19 from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the Parks Field Complex. The cost of camp is $75 per camper and $50 for a second family member. Campers will be instructed in the fundamentals of baseball including throwing, hitting, defensive play, and base running. They will also be taught the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. A daily camper of the day for each age group will be awarded. All-American hoops camp

The All American Basketball Skills Camp for boys and girls in grades 3 through 9 is scheduled for June 9-12. Camp will be held at Summerville High School from 9 a.m. until noon each day. Registration costs for the week is $75 per camper with a half-price discount available for families with more than one child and includes a camp T-Shirt, academic/athletic skills notebook, individual position skill development, instructions in individual and group fundamentals, and daily “Hot Spot” and free-throw contests. Single-day registration is also available for $20 per day. The camp will be staffed by the SHS Boys’ coaching staff and current Green Wave players. NASA soccer

The North Area Soccer Association is holding evaluations and tryouts at the Cathedral of Praise fields off Ashley Phosphate Road. Evaluations for boys and girls will be held May 9 and 14 (U8-U12); May 15-16 (U13-U14); and May 19 and 23 (U15-U18). Each day will include two late afternoon/evening sessions. Players needed

The Summerville Sharks 11U travel baseball team is looking for a few players to fill its roster. The team players for all positions, including pitchers. Players cannot turn 12 before May 1. For more information, contact Trey at 514-5761 or email summervillesharks@live.com.
