Burns, Browder married in April wedding

Margaret McDowell Burns

Margaret McDowell Burns and Michael Corbett Browder, both of Summerville were married on April 12, 2014 at the Summerville Presbyterian Church in Summerville, South Carolina.

Dr. Mike Shelton officiated. A reception followed the ceremony at Summerville Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Garrett Burns of Summerville. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Ernest McDowell of Sumter, South Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchanan Burns, Sr., of Sumter. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Crooks Browder, Jr., of Summerville. He is the grandson of Mrs. Donald Lloyd Corbett of Summerville, the late Mr. Corbett, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Al Crooks Browder, Sr., of St. Stephen, South Carolina.

Miss Emily Warren Burns, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jenna Patrick Brown, Mrs. Meredith Anonie Buddin, Miss Sarah Woodside Burns and Mrs. Meredith Faulling Hair. Miss Ella Lee Padgett and Miss Emorie Ann Stockton were flower girls.

Mr. Al Crooks Browder, Jr., father of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Cory Stephen Brown, Mr. Matthew Taylor Charpia, Mr. Reid Dawson Coyle, Mr. Tyson William Dutton and Mr. Tyler Jordan LaPrad.

Mr. Shane Legare Leland, Mr. Ryan Walker Patrick, Mr. James Conway Todd, IV, and Mr. George Lockwood Tupper, IV, served as ushers.

A rehearsal party was held Friday evening before the wedding at the Conservatory at Magnolia Gardens.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and will reside in Summerville.
