DD4 announces new superintendent

  • Tuesday, May 20, 2014

The Dorchester County School District Four Board of Trustees has announced the selection of Morris Ravenell as superintendent of education for the District, following a nationwide search.

Ravenell has 15 years of experience as an educator, including 12 years as a principal. Ravenell has spent the majority of his career in Dorchester County School District Four.

Most recently, Ravenell served as the principal for Clay Hill Elementary School in Ridgeville.

According to the DD4 board, Dr. Ravenellís educational background, experience in educational leadership, and understanding of the needs of our children uniquely positions him to serve as an effective superintendent for the District.

Ravenell will assume his duties as the Superintendent July 1.
