Jewelry Heist

On May 21 a man reported his home on Berwick Drive had been broken into sometime between 1 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. He reported $28,800 worth of menís jewelry stolen as well as $500 in damage to his home.

Shopper Threatened

On May 22 a man reported that as he was walking on Orangeburg Road toward home after shopping at a grocery store at Boone Hill and Orangeburg roads, a man approached him, lifted his shirt to show his weapon, and demanded money. The victim said he called for help and the suspect ran off without taking anything.

Theft from Vehicles

On May 22, a man reported a utility company truck in the 1100 block of Miles Road had been broken into between 5 p.m. May 21 and 7:30 a.m. May 22.

He said $2,400 in tools, construction equipment and clothing was taken from the truck.

Car break-in

On May 19 a woman reported her car parked on Moon Dance Lane had been broken into between midnight and 8 a.m. May 19.

She reported $1,360 in items, including medicine, a cell phone, a Garmin, $200 in cash, and a notebook with passwords written in it was missing.

At 2:50 p.m. that afternoon, a man reported he had found the notebook in a drainage ditch near his home, about one block from where the theft occurred.

Vehicle burglarized

On May 18, a man reported that his car parked on Ladson Road near Avenue of Oaks had been broken into between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

He reported that speakers, an amp, $400 in cash, and various personal items were stolen, altogether valued at $1,080. The passenger side window was broken.

Bad Parking Spot

On May 21 a man reported that all the windows and side mirrors on his car had been destroyed, causing $2,000 in damage.

He reported he had left his car at Tuskegee Drive and Lincoln Avenue on May 19 when he ran out of gas.
