Marion "Chip" Cooper, MD

  • Thursday, June 5, 2014

Harkening back to the days when doctors visited people in their homes, Dr. Marion “Chip” Cooper specializes in house calls through Trident Health’s Doc at the Door service. “There’s no other job in medicine like this,” says Dr. Cooper, who is board certified in family medicine and has special interests in geriatrics, hospice and palliative care. “I visit people to see how they are doing, and I get a chance to have some wonderful conversations.” Dr. Cooper gains a fuller picture of patient’s lives by seeing them in their homes and uses that to his advantage in practicing preventive medicine. Plus, he has a natural empathy that helps him connect with people. “I take my time with things, and I think I’m a good listener, too.” To make an appointment with Dr. Cooper, please call 843-847-3470.
