SCC registering for Father-Son/Daughter Tournament

Summerville Country Club will host its annual Father-Son/Daughter Golf Tournament June 21-22.

Tee times for the Captain’s Choice tournament will be from 8-10:30 a.m. both days. Tee times 8 am – 10:30 am both days.

Team members must be related by blood or marriage to compete for the overall title and each player must contribute at least four drives. Men under the age of 65 will play the white tees and those older will play from the yellow tees. Children 12 and under will tee off from the red tees. Ladies will play the red tees.

The entry fee is $150 per team including carts. The tournament will also feature s dinner party for players and one guest after the first round and lunch and an awards presentation following the second round.

For $20 a team can get a mulligan for each player as well as one red tee shot and participation for two closest to the pin contests each day. Ladies and juniors will get an extra mulligan since they already play red tees.

Teams will be flighted after the first round and the overall champion will be the low two-day gross team.

Handicapping will be based on the following stroke format: A (0-7), B (8-13), C (14-19), D (20 and over), AA (plus 6), AB (plus 4), AC (plus 2), BB (plus 2), AD (0), BC (0), BD (negative 2), CC (negative 2), CD (negative 4) and DD (negative 6).
