Summerville Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Clover Street on May 30 that left residents with bullets in their homes and in a truck.

Officers recovered 29 spent bullet casings that night; some 9 mm, some .40-caliber and some .45-caliber.

A tipster told dispatch the shooting was related to the recent tripe-shooting in Myrtle Beach.

Two people from Summerville and one from Ladson were killed in that May 24 incident.

Wanda Simmons was in her home when she heard what she at first thought were firecrackers.

But when she looked outside she saw people in a car on Clover Street firing out the window toward Cherry Place.

I told everybody to hit the floor, she said.

Simmons said shes lived there 14 years and never had anything like this happen.

She later discovered a bullet had pierced the window and lodged in her loveseat.

Another man reported a bullet pierced his pickup truck.

A third victim showed police how a bullet had torn through a wall, into a TV, and then into the wall behind the TV.

Summerville Police say the incident is still under investigation.
