State Farm agent Tony Pope of Summerville will join the Trident Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees on July 1, 2014.
Established in 1975, the Trident Technical College Foundation exists to advocate and raise funds for the college to support the region’s economy. The foundation assists the college by providing money for scholarships, equipment, professional development activities and other college initiatives. The foundation operates independently of the college as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
Other Lowcountry residents joining the board are Grier Allen, president and co-founder of BoomTown!; P.J. Browning, president and publisher of The Post and Courier; Willis Cantey III, president of Cantey Technology; Rick Day, principal, Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Carol Etheridge, regional director of human resources, USA and Caribbean, Belmond Charleston Place Hotel; Dwayne Cartwright, CEO, Berkeley Electric Cooperative; Jerry Good, plant manager, DuPont Co., Bill Hall, partner, Hall’s Chophouse; Tony Mark, retired president and COO, Centra Software Inc.; Myriam Owens, vice president, card services and member accounting, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union; and Peter Woodhull, president and CEO, Modus 21. Board members serve three-year terms.
