The Summerville High School Athletic Club (SHAC) will host a 5k run July 26.
The run is open to runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels. It will start at 9 a.m., wind through the streets of Summerville, and end at the 50-yard line of Summerville’s Memorial Stadium.
There, participants will be treated to music and food provided by Jim Brantley at Atlanta Bread Company. Registration cost is $35 and includes a race t-shirt. Those interested can register at www.active.com and search SHAC 5k.
The athletic club is an all-sports booster club specifically designed to support all of Summerville High School’s student athletes.
Race packets can be picked up from 5-7 p.m. behind the home side of Memorial Stadium on July 25 or on race day no later than 8:30 a.m.
