Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Aumen

Jerald “Jerry” Wayne Aumen of Brevard passed away on Thursday July 3, 2014.

He was the son of the late Bruce and Evelyn S. Aumen. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Aumen.

Jerry was the Controller and later the General Manager of Woodtek Manufacturing Company in Charleston for many years. He was a member of Carr’s Hill Baptist Church and also was an ordained deacon. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife, Shirley Bowers Aumen, sons Wayne Aumen and wife Tammy of Ladson, SC, Randall Aumen and wife Robby of Brevard, and Darrin Aumen and wife Cecelia of Summerville, SC.; one daughter Dawn McGee and husband Matthew of Summerville, SC; one brother David Aumen and wife Deborah of Frederick, MD. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Steven Duran, Jerry Aumen III, Christopher Aumen, Jeffrey Williams, Matthew Aumen, Danny Aumen, Tyler Aumen, Ricki Hughes, Kimberly Windham, and Ryan Windham; two great grandchildren, Kaleb Oakley and Calia Aumen.

Memorial Services were held 11am, Monday, July 7, 2014 at Carr’s Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Hardesty officiating.
