A convicted sex offender is back behind bars, facing two more charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

William Clifford II, 23, of 106 Caveson Drive, pleaded guilty in 2008 to third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to SLED’s sex offender website, his victim was 4 years old.

Now he is behind bars at the Dorchester County Detention Center after probation was revoked Monday in light of additional charges.

Court records show a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge entered Jan. 22.

According to a Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the charge stems from a Dec. 15 incident in which a woman complained she was at a party with Clifford and had been flirting with him, but that he had attempted to take advantage of the situation.

She told deputies she had jumped into the pool and he offered her dry clothes, but as she was changing he pushed her onto the bed, pulled down her pants and attempted intercourse several times. The woman wrote a seven-page statement detailing the night’s events.

The incident report notes the woman didn’t want to prosecute but merely wanted a documentation of the incident should something happen in the future.

However, the woman apparently changed her mind after speaking with peers.

Additionally, another woman came forward and said Clifford had sexually assaulted her at his home sometime between March and April 2012.

The charge for that incident was entered into the court system March 20.
