Summerville woman dies in Lake Erie

  • Tuesday, July 22, 2014

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The body found submerged in Lake Erie at Edgewater Park Friday has been identified as a South Carolina woman.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office said 44-year-old Roxanna Gance, of Summerville, S.C., was discovered in the Cleveland Metroparks.

Metroparks spokeswoman Sue Allen said park visitors climbing rocks near the shoreline discovered the body about 11:30 a.m. Friday. A Metroparks dive team and the U.S. Coast Guard pulled Gance's body out of the water.

The medical examiner has not determined Gance's cause of death. See more of the story from the Northeast Ohio Media Group here http://bit.ly/1wVJ9vT
