A strong push in the age 15-18 division wasn’t enough to earn the Coosaw Creek Crocodiles another Coastal Carolina Aquatics Association Championship.

The Coosaw Creek Swim Team won 10 events in the oldest age division on Sunday, the final day of the association’s three-day championship meet held at Crowfield Golf and Country Club. However, the surge wasn’t enough to earn the Crocodiles their fourth straight association title.

Snee Farm tallied 2,949.5 points during the meet to reclaim the City Meet Championship, its 23rd title in the past 26 seasons. Coosaw Creek finished with 2,580.5 points to claim runner-up honors.

Trailing in the team scores were Daniel Island (2,517 points), Northbridge Terrace (2,403), Shadowmoss (2,194.5), Hobcaw (1,898), Dunes West (1,716), Newington (1,572), Crowfield (1,382), Parkshore (1,320), Longpoint (1,246.5), Country Club of Charleston (1,142.5), James Island (1,115.5), Brickyard (1,050.5), Sha-Mel-Lon (1,013.5), Ashborough (855.5), I’On (785.5), Legend Oaks (659.5), Pine Forest (562), Fort Johnson (428), Jewish Community Center (114) and Summerville YMCA (92.5).

The Coosaw Creek rally was led by the Bohon siblings.

Jeremiah Bohon won the Boys 15-18 50-yard Butterfly, 50 Breaststroke and 100 Individual Medley.

Micah Bohon won the Girls 15-18 50 Butterfly, 50 Backstroke and 100 IM.

Coosaw Creek’s Meredith Welsh won the Girls 15-18 50 Breastroke and the Crocodiles won the Mixed 15-18 200 Medley Relay (Micah Bohon, Jeremiah Bohon, Meredith Welsh, Patrick Sullivan), Girls 15-18 200 Freestyle Relay (Sarah Anne Welsh, Madison McDowell, Meredith Welsh, Micah Bohon) and Boys 15-18 200 Freestyle Relay (Patrick Sullivan, Noah Brazier, Jackson Seith, Jeremiah Bohon).

In the 13-14 division, Coosaw Creek’s Derik Daniel won the Boys 50 Backstroke and the Crocodiles won the Girls 200 Freestyle Relay (Callie Stauffer, Grace Moscoso, Cece Knecht, Ansley Jones).

Coosaw Creek’s Connor Westbrooke won the Boys 11-12 50 Butterfly and 50 Backstroke. Teammate Thayer Tavormina won the 8U 25 Butterfly and 25 Backstroke. The Crocs also won the 8U 100 Mixed Medley Relay (Thayer Tavormina, Isabella Graham, Lauren Polomsky, Tyler Nelson).

Newington swimmer Jb Haffiner won the Boys 50 11-12 Freestyle to help the Tiger Sharks move up a spot in the team standings to eighth place.

Since this year’s City Meet was held at a 25-yard pool rather than a 25-meter pool for the first time, all 2014 event champions set City Meet 25-yard records.

Coosaw Creek claimed the age-group championships for both the 15-18 boys and girls divisions. Other age-group champions were Daniel Island (Girls 13-14), Shadowmoss (Boys 13-14), I’On (Girls 11-12), Snee Farm (Boys 11-12), Snee Farm (Girls 9-10), Newington (Boys 9-10), Snee Farm (Girls 7-8) and Daniel Island (Boys 7-8).
