A Summerville woman reported that her vehicle was hit by gunfire while she was attending a memorial service for a friend who died last year.
The woman reported that members of the deceased’s family as well as people she did not know were in attendance and everyone was getting along fine when two subjects began shooting at each other. The complainant said she dropped to the ground to cover herself and one of the subjects crouched in front of her vehicle and returned fire at someone in a white SUV, shooting out her front windshield in the process.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
A Summerville woman reported that someone broke into her Jamison Road residence and scattered items about, went through dresser drawers, ate some food from the kitchen and drank some wine, then apparently left the residence empty handed, but well fed. Officers were able to lift prints and gather evidence to be examined by the DCSO Forensic Unit.
The case is under investigation.
Where are the car keys?
Officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Roberts Road. When they arrived, they spoke to a man who told them his long-term girlfriend would not let him leave the residence and had taken his keys and put them in the septic tank. The man further stated they had been arguing over their inability to procure methamphetamine, and that the lack of the drug causes short tempers. He also said he just wants to leave so he can get clean from drug use. Officers then spoke to the female subject, who was watering plants in the back yard at the time. She stated they had been arguing but not over drugs. She said she did not want the complainant to leave because they had an argument earlier over his being with another woman.
A Ladson woman reported that a female subject has forged several mortgage documents to her father’s property. The woman stated she does not have power of attorney but that her father gave her permission to check on issues related to the property. The woman said the documents came to her attention in 2012 due to the property being in foreclosure. She said she spoke to the subject, who acknowledged signing the original, but would not comment further.
