Maddy Reed

Rising junior Maddy Reed is looking to have her best season yet with the Lady Swamp Foxes’ soccer team.

The midfielder already has two years of experience with the Ashley Ridge team. As a freshman, she was named to the Region 8-AAAA Girls Soccer All-region Team. She also plays for South Carolina United Mt. Pleasant.

“My goals include remaining an honor student and earning a college soccer scholarship,” she said. “I also want to take more of a leadership role than I did my first two seasons.”

Reed is also a swimmer for the Legend Oaks Swim Team and has studied piano for eight years.

“When I was in third grade my mom wanted me to take lessons so I did and I really enjoy it,” she said. “I like playing all types of music.”

While she knows she wants to go to college, she hasn’t decided on a major yet.

“I’m thinking about a career in the medical field, not really sports medicine but chiropractic care or physical therapy.”
