Sheela Bhattacharyya, MD

Dr. Sheela Bhattacharyya enjoys the long-term role a primary care physician plays in keeping patients healthy. “I like the idea of getting to know someone and following them through the years.” Dr. Bhattacharyya recently came to Low Country Primary Care after 14 years of practice in New Hampshire. Board certified in family medicine, she cares for people who are a range of ages, from young adults to senior citizens, sometimes seeing generations within the same family.   “You feel like an extended family member a lot of the time.” She relocated after falling in love with the Charleston area during a visit last year. (It feels a lot like her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, along the Canadian coast, only warmer.) While she misses the relationships she built in New Hampshire, she looks forward to establishing new connections here.   Callout: “The part I like the most is when an office visit is like catching up with someone over coffee.” - Sheela Bhattacharyya, MD     Medical Degree Dalhousie University Residency Dalhousie University   To schedule an appointment with Dr. Bhattacharyya, please call 843-797-1770.
