Photo provided North Charleston Police are looking for this man in connection with the noon robbery of the Cres Com Bank at Dorchester Road and Appian Way.

A North Charleston area bank was robbed by a lone suspect on foot Thursday.

The incident occurred a little before noon, according to North Charleston Police Department Spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Witnesses advised that a black male described as over six feet tall, slim build, wearing black pants, green hooded sweatshirt, and a towel covering his head entered the bank and approached the counter, Pryor said. The suspect then displayed a gun in his waist band and threw a bag to the teller and demanded money.

The suspect then fled the bank on foot with an as yet undetermined amount of cash, Pryor said.

The suspect was last seen fleeing into a nearby wooded area, Pryor said.

Anyone with information should contact NCPD at 843-554-5700 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
