Dost

A Summerville man is facing a charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11.

Craig Andrew Dost, 25, was arrested July 22.

According to a Summerville Police Department report, an officer was called to a home in the Scott’s Mill subdivision, where a visibly upset woman, crying and vomiting, said the child had been sexually assaulted.

The woman said the child had had several rashes and complained of pain in the vaginal area, which the woman initially attributed to acidic fruit juices.

Because the rashes and pain were becoming more frequent, she questioned the child, who described several sexual actions with Dost, the woman told police.

An officer accompanied the woman and child to MUSC for a pediatric sexual assault examination and interview, then obtained an arrest warrant for Dost.

According to the police report, the alleged abuse began in May.

Dost is currently at the Dorchester County Detention Center.

He has requested a jury trial. His attorney, Grover “Beau” Seaton, had no comment on the case.
