Sturm graduates basic training

Air Force Airman Christopher D. Sturm graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Sturm is the son of Phillip V. Sturm of Harrisonburg, Va. and Michelle L. Sturgeon of North Charleston, S.C., and brother of Brian P. Sturm of Summerville, S.C. He is a 2013 graduate of Fort Dorchester High School, North Charleston, S.C.
